The Black Shark 4 Pro piggybacks on the successes of last year’s Black Shark 4, continuing the company’s firmware files tradition of offering high-end specs for an astonishingly low price tag. Where the $579 flagship differs is in the upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon G processor and its wealth of brightness (1,297 nits to the 694 of its predecessor).

A 120W brick and a 6A USB-C cable are thoughtfully included in the box. Just like the Xiaomi 11T Pro, you’ve got to use the given cable with the charger to ensure you’re getting the maximum charging speed. As promised, the Black Shark 4 Pro goes from 0% to 100% in a staggering 20 minutes. It does, however, get really hot when charging at full speed. While Shark Chan appears to be a purely decorative (and adorable) persona with no real influence on anything important, Shark Space is a different story. You can add all your games on there for easier management and optimization. To enter it, you can open the app or press both magnetic pop-up triggers together.

black shark 4 pros and cons

There’s nothing too dramatic – or innovative – when it comes to the appearance of the Black Shark 4 Pro. Perhaps the most interesting part of its design are the two little toggle switches to the right of the phone face that conceal two extra pop-out buttons. These buttons can be customized to perform a variety of tasks, from taking screenshots to skipping media tracks.

After all, games can be played on regular smartphones for sure but what about buying a huge and high-end gaming phone? Black Shark 4 Pro fulfills the needs of any gaming freak in his smartphone. The Black Shark 4 Pro has a 6.67 inches, 1080 x 2400 pixels Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 395 ppi.

All that combines to make a panel that’s sharp, bright and easy on the eyes. The 4 Pro being a gaming phone, you can also use these additional buttons to control gameplay when the phone is in landscape mode; it’ll almost feel like you’re holding a gamepad. It’s a nice touch, as is the illuminated Black Shark logo that lights up in green on the back casing when the phone is unlocked.
